Eating too much food can make you sick. Add eating blue degreaser flavored sno-cones to the list. Who knew waiting in line to get a yummy blue raspberry sno-cone could be so dangerous?
The Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, Kansas started offering a new sno-cone flavor, tasty blue degreaser alongside stables, cherry, lemon and blue raspberry. Four people became ill when a zoo employee accidentally poured a degreasing agent into the sno-cone machine, instead of the blue raspberry flavor. Apparently, both bottles are the same size, color and were placed next to each other.
A zoo official said the employee didn't read the labels and apologized to the families who got sick. The victims didn't ingest enough of the agents for it to be dangerous. The zoo will stop serving blue raspberry flavor.
What are the requirements for employment at this zoo? The ability to stand upright and smile? Or did they employ the monkeys to manage the food concession stands? No, I apologize to the prime-apes; they probably have more common sense not to leave bottles of degreaser that look similar to bottles of artificial blue raspberry syrup next to one another.
