It is hard for me to write this, and it may be hard for you to read it. Michael Jackson, The King of Pop, has died at the age of 50. This legendary singer known for his Moonwalk, at the time expensive yet amazing music videos and his want to really heal the world of hunger, racism and pain, was making his return to the top with a planned three-year world tour starting off with 50 sold out shows in London.

The news of Michael's death came hours after the heart breaking news that actress Farrah Fawcett has lost her long battle with rectal cancer and a day after "Star Search" host Ed McMahon died of a multitude of health problems.

When the first news of Michael Jackson came out, it claimed Michael Jackson was found in cardiac arrest and not breathing. The news worsened when reports said Michael was in a coma, followed by rumors that he passed away. Unfortunately, as more time passed, first reported by TMZ and confirmed by other news agencies, Michael did pass away after a doctor and paramedics attempted to resuscitate him for over an hour.

MJ will be missed not only for music but for some of his ideas and beliefs. Much of his music like "Man in the Mirror", "Heal the World" and "Earth Song" displayed his compassion for others and the hope that we would unite as a people around the world.

Rest in peace Michael.

Frank
