It's funny; every news channel I turn to has a story about Tiger Woods. While surfing the web, I'm pummeled by articles about Tiger's mistresses and their intimate relationship details. Let's get it straight, I don't condone cheating on your wife or cheating period, but seriously when did everyone get a high horse?
We all have skeletons in our closets yet whenever someone (usually a celebrity) is found to be imperfect we are quick to arms and our nooses. So what, Tiger Woods is an adulterer. This situation is between him and his family, not MSNBC, your mother or you (or me for that matter). Voicing your opinion on the topic is one thing, but judging Tiger is another thing altogether.
A saying comes to mind, "Judge not lest ye be judged first." No truer are the words than in this case. Tiger is human, as we all are and he is subject to mistakes - even epic failures like these. I was watching a news program that compared Tiger's past public "rating" to his current one. In 07, 90% or so favored Tiger. In 09, only 23% favored him. All I have to say is give me a break.
Consider the fact. If you choose to cheat on your spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend and you get caught, how many people outside of the people that affected are really going to care? How many people are going to want the intimate details of that affair? The person (or persons) you cheated with, are they going to go on national television and showcase dirty voicemails/text messages you sent to them? You already know the answer to all of those questions.
Tiger Woods brought this entire situation he is in on himself, but I wholeheartedly believe this matter is between Mr. Woods and Mrs. Woods. At no time does this scandal affect me personally nor does it affect you personally (unless, of course you are Mrs. Woods). Spend less time talking about other people's lives and more time living yours.
