Never ending problems
Arise in your eyes
Nothing can ever stop them
Least you fall to your demise

Writing sonnets are included
In this list of woes
Everything I say sounds diluted
Much unlike my prose

This third stanza are is the worst
There’s almost nothing left to say
Oh look! A hearse
More words come as they may

Now the ending comes along
It’s so much easier to write a song

The stars in the sky and
Fall upon my shoe

Sparkling and pretty
Glistening in the street

There is no time
We left at the drop of a dime

The prince follows as we flee
Pristine beauty awaiting his bride

Blonde and dirty is where I’ll be
The hand grasps mine and tugs

I look into blue eyes
I loon back into his green

Brother against brother
A war for my heart

Princely duty condemns his kiss
The kin looks back and praises illegitimacy

To fall in love at might night
My pain wished for me

Little did she know
I’d be lost at first sight

A price she had in mind
She wasn’t far off, though

He isn’t the son
She wished for me

Starlight glistens in my
Curls and glitters off my dress

I know he doesn’t love me
I know I’m the means to his choice

At my godmother’s wish I fell in love
At her request he was of royal blood

She never said I had to stay in love

So I’ll be in love tonight
Fallen for the son of the king

My shoe made of glass will inspire a legend
My heart made of stone will desire a revolution

I’ll leave tonight and never come back
I’ll never let my son see the golden bridge

I’ll send back my granddaughter
And tell my story soon enough

To My Beanie Baby

Print
Ode to a beanie baby that sat in my lap
Clutched tightly when I took a nap
Held close to my heart
Lost before we could start

Ode to this toy
A symbol of my childhood
Given to a little boy
Lost again, hidden by wood

Ode to the tare
Ripped by a mare
A child who had cried
But you had not died

Ode to you dear toy
You did what you could
Bringing smiles to the boy
Just as you should

Ode to this fancy beanbag
Featured on your own mag
Oh, my little beanie baby
I’ll never get rid of you, maybe

Sliceofmymind.com (SOMM) - The Opinion Habitat -SOMM Poetry A single thought floats upon the winds wings.
Its destiny tied into yours, fate has spoken.
It carries through the seasons, awaiting its chance, the moment.
Its call is a symphony of pure whispers, of your beauty.
Fall: A tree of golden leaves, unshaken like the strength of your words.
Winter: A light snowfall, your smile an imprint on snowy mounds.
Spring: New growth, like the snare of your lips.
Summer: Orange warmth, like the grip of your hug.

Falling of an angel,
Into my arms she lies.
True are the words,
“True love is hard to find.”
Out of nowhere she came to me,
Like a bottled letter from the great blue sea.
My heart races out of fear,
To her heart I cannot compare.
She takes my hand and I begin to follow,
As we walk to the light amiss the shadows.
The heart pains I felt before,
Begins to mend without a sore.
As we come up to the light,
I start to lose my sight.
This must be the test,
To give her my trust and love with none less.
I am washed in the light,
I give some fight.
Suddenly the fear and pain lets me be,
I open my eyes and truly see.
Her love became apart of me.
She led me through the shadow of death.
For this reason alone I believe,
I will remain in her arms until time ceases to be.
